Mediation Volunteer Panel (MVP)

Learn how the MVP can help you settle your civil case or how to volunteer as an attorney mediator.

About MVP

Unlimited civil cases referred by judicial officers to the Court's Mediation Volunteer Panel (MVP) are eligible for three hours of virtual mediation at no cost with a qualified mediator from the MVP. Parties may select a mediator or request the ADR Office to assign one. In all cases, an online Response Form must be submitted. The assigned MVP mediator will coordinate the mediation with the parties. LASC General Order

Post-Mediation Status Report Mediators Use Only: Submit the online form to report whether the mediation session was held and the outcome. Right Arrow

MVP General Order Review the official LASC General Order governing the Mediation Volunteer Panel. Right Arrow
Rules of Conduct for Mediators Review the ethical and procedural guidelines for mediators in court-connected mediation programs for civil cases (California Rules of Court, rules 3.850 – 3.860). Right Arrow
Case Document Images Access public court documents through the Public Access Online Services. Right Arrow
Mediation Attendance Sheet Access the optional JCC Form ADR-107 to record attendance for civil case mediation. Right Arrow
